My cousin Sarah Jane Dalziel was born in 1942, she died in 2018. I am trying to find her parents. She married Hugh Alexander Mccolm 1935-1989. Hughs parents were Margaret Speirs Alexander 1910-1962, and William Strachan Mccolm 1909-1980. Sarah married Hugh in 1960.

You can buy a copy of any one of the certs which will give you her parents names plus mothers maiden name

Marriage was 1960 per SP
Death reg shows she was 76 so not born 1940
Birth in Ayr in 1942 on SP

You cannot download any of the certs as they are too recent - you will have to buy copies

The death for Sarah Jane Dalziel 2018 has her mother's maiden name as Dalziel
As Carole has said you would need to order copies of her marriage or death to get parents names

One of the McColm children which I cannot name was given a grandparents name.

I think my 2nd guess at her parents is correct.

Sarah Jane was married in Old Cumnock as was the 1935 marriage.

She had at least 3 siblings which also carried the Dalziel name born between 1938 & 1949, all born Old Cumnock.
