There is a baptism in St Ann, Jamaica in 1811 for a Sarah Low born to John Lowe which looks like it could be correct. In the 1871 Census it say she is 38 making her birth c1833 which can't work for her marriage to Charles James Grange in 1839 but it is possible they adjusted her age so that it didn't look like Edward Henry Gauntlett had married a women many year his senior.

I have found a site with lots of research on the Dollar family:

So it looks like Sarah Lowe probably married a son of Andrew Dollars who dies before 1839 so she could then marry Charles James Grange in 1839 in London??

I have also found a death for a Sarah Gauntlett at Croydon in 1884 who was born C1810 which fits roughly with the birth of Sarah Lowe at St Ann, Jamaica in 27th June 1811. Also Sarah last appears in the 1881 census at Clapham, London, England and in the 1891 census Edward is a widower living with his mother and brother.

Hi there.
My goodness what a life Sarah Lowe Dollar Grange Gauntlett lived!
Edward Henry Gauntlett was my GG Grandfather’s brother.
I have also been looking into Sarah Grange (nee Lowe (SP)) although not a direct descendent.
Did her husband Charles die in Sierra Leone, Trinidad?
So was Sarah a slave or owners of slaves - a little confused as I am unsure of how all this reads.
From 1881 census documents it shows that Sarah Grange was 14 years older than EDG.
EHG was born about 1836 so Sarah would be born in about 1822?  You have noted she was born in 1809 which makes her 27 years older than EHG?  Is that right - you said that perhaps altered her age so that it didn’t look like EHG married someone very much older than him?
EHG and SG married on 5 March 1867, EHG appears to be her 3rd husband, or 3rd partner?
EHG died in 1898?
I can’t find information on SG’s death? There are a lot of Sarah Low’s but why would her name appear on death as Low?
Wondering if you have any information on who EHG grandparents are - because from my GF’s notes it doesn’t seem to be William and Mary Gauntlett as appears in other Ancestry members?  Or you are not looking into this side of the family.
Thanks for your help
