Hi Keith

I know you may not pick this up for a while, but I'll post now.

I think you may be a wee bit awry with the possible dates.  On your other post
 ( https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=835631.0 )
you were interested in a Francis Hays who was baptised around 1740 and I suggested that his parents were William & Mary Hays.

They also appear to have had the following baptised in Otterbourne as well as Francis:

Mary 8 Jan 1726/27
Martha 25 March 1733
William 4 Dec 1734

So you may need to look for William & Mary a bit earlier.

There is this marriage which may - or may not - be relevant, if Mary is their first child.
William Hayes m Mary Hayes 24 Jun 1725 at Weyhill

I haven't found any others that would fit the dates.

There is also a baptism for an Elizabeth Hays in Weyhill in 1731 - she was buried only 3 days after her baptism.

Not finding anything suitable at the moment for William and Mary's baptisms.

Hi Nell

I have been able to speak to members of the family with whom I am carrying out this research for and they do know if a family link to Weyhill it isn’t that far from Winchester..

Kind Regards

Hi Nell thanks for the updates.

I am back to what can be classed as some sort of normality ?

I have obviously got the wrong DOB's regarding William and Mary Hays.  Will keep digging
