I can't get on to Ancestry at the moment but I swear I saw an entry earlier for an Adam Roderick KIRK on the US Social Security Claims(?). Date of birth is waaay out but the parents were listed as James KIRK and Margaret MURRAY.

There is an ancestry tree for hoim with those parents - James Kirk Snr 18 25 - 1908  Antigonish, Nova Scotia,  and Margaret Murray 1831 - nothing further on the son born 1865

N.B. the 1881 census showed Adam born 1870

Yes,well-there has to be something wrong with that dob I hope!

Still can't get on Ancestry and I forget what the SSN started with...153????...to look up the State.

Have you tried logging on - ancestry.ca  or ancestry.com or one of the others.
I had that problem with them earlier.
