There seems to have been a George Victor KEANE b 1907 who married a Charlotte Linny VAN DER MERWE in SA in 1945 ... (I don't have any other info)
I suppose this fact might rule out GV KEANE b 1907 from being a candidate for "Varie", so I'll wait until the OP answers my earlier questions ....

Am I correct in thinking we are looking for a Varie (sp) Keane, and not any of the other Keane's per se?

Hi all,
Its Varie Keane i am looking for though this is possibly a family name.
He did not marry in SA but died there somewere between 1980 and 1997 ish.
I thought George Victor keane may have been him but not if he married in SA.
My only means of finding him would be a death notice so looking for a Mr.Keane
death between 1980 and 1997 in SA.
Apologies for the lack of info could be one for Miss Marple here.
