James Barnaby. Can anyone succeed where I've failed?
« on: Tuesday 01 September 20 22:40 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for information on James Barnaby, born either 1883 or 1885 in Penrhiwcester (which seems to be Penrhiwceiber).  He doesn't seem to move far, always in the Valleys.  I can see the 1911 census, the 1939 register and marriage register in 1906, potentially some discharge papers from WW1 in 1918 and nothing re his birth, parents, any other census forms, or his death.  I'm not used to working with Welsh records. Is there something (a spelling variation etc) I'm missing please?  Thank you.

Begs the question - why does James state Penrhiwceiber as his birthplace when it was actually Montgomery?    94 miles between the 2 places.

He died as James H. Barnaby bc.1882, in June qtr. 1942  Caerleon, Monmouthshire.
