 ;D

You did say that it was where the  old council offices where. I was describing two of the places where they were located!

We have welsh class meet ups in the cafe in the old council building and of course Gerrard welsh oaties  ;)

Never mind though

That will be the one on the road to Glyn.  I think they moved there in the 1950s - certainly by 1960.

Getting back to Harriet, I'll see if I can find any more about her family. William and Mary Williams will not be the easiest to find though, as you can imagine.

You have been a great help
I would imagine that they were servant / farm labourers, but Harriet somehow ended up in Manchester

It's very strange the attraction of Manchester by people of that area. I've known a few women from the area going 'into service' in Manchester - my great grandmother, her daughter, my grandmother and 3 of her daughters - later than Harriet though.

I've looked for other baptisms but the only ones to a William and Mary Williams at that time were from Moreton Above which is the Rhos area  :-\

It had to be work surely, I looked at the railway but it seems that it was much later too,  :-\
