RJ was following the suggestion of John Gallagher in reply 6 which was only suggested as a possible.

Have you viewed a rather mixed anc tree with parents listed -  Cornelius Croher Gallagher (1843-1870)
Mother Hannah (Nancy) Ward (-1874) but Im afraid it shows other brothers and sisters in the USA ?

Neil "Haff" Gallagher 1846–1925
BIRTH JUL 1846  Dooey, Donegal, Ireland - DEATH 23 AUG 1925 - Alameda, California.

Timothy Gallagher - ABT 1831  Dooey, Donegal, Ireland
DEATH ABT 1899 - Oakland, Alameda, California.

James "John" Gallagher 1827–1910
BIRTH MAR 1827 Dooey, Donegal, Ireland - DEATH BEFORE----1910  Alameda, Alameda, California.

Thanks Sandra and RJ for the repiles. I am a bit confused by the family tree on Ancestry, number of children to Neal and Elizabeth doesn't match my information.

Thanks again.
Paul.
