OK will go with that, but there first child was also an Annie aged 10 on 1881, but I believe she is the Anne Royal Maddocks b Sept qtr 1870 Birkenhead, so not aged 1 month in 1871?

Annie Royal Maddocks names her father as Thomas Maddocks occ Labourer when she marries Charles Frost in 1894.  Witnesses were John Love, Thomas Maddocks & Agnes Mercer

Yes there are 33 trees with Thomas Maddocks including a beautifully well documented tree

They have 2 possible censuses for 1871
Neither is the Birkenhead one

Ive not found Albert Edward OWEN with his grandmother yet either
 could you tell me any other details to put into search please Dundee

The Thomas Maddocks on wedding bans is also a plumber and
Eliza Owens is a widow
She gives fathers name as Timothy  JONES which is quite an unusual name at the time

The trees ive looked at so far dont seem to know about her first marriage the Owens children or the Maddox couple s wherabouts in 1871
