A maiden name
« on: Sunday 13 September 20 10:52 BST (UK) »
I’m looking for a maiden name, I hope this is the best place to post this. Married to James kavanagh born about 1830 to Catherine kavanagh born about 1845 I assume both are Irish and had ten children. Any help with names etc would be good but at this stage just looking for Catherine’s maiden name.

Thank you in advance James

Where when and name of the first child born might help?
Best place to find her maiden name is on children's baptisms if RC.

From one of your previous threads:

Hi Jts 12.

James Kavanagh is my Grand Uncle. He is the 5th born (7 Jan 1875) of 10 children to James & Catherine Kavanagh. He married Edith Kelly on the 20 Feb 1905 at St Maries Church, Failsworth. James and Edith had four children; James 1906, Amy 1911, Mary 1916 and Winifred. Mary married Samuel Goodwin in 1934.

Plenty more on the Irish family, PM me if you require.

Kind regards
John G.

If that is correct then this is his birth:

Catherine's maiden surname is KAVANAGH.

Debra & KG,

James and Catherine are my Great grandparents, and James (Jun) is my grand uncle. I have left several messages for Jts 12. as I would love to share family information with him, but unfortunately he hasn't been on rootchat in a while now. ::)

Regards
