Obituary of Llewellyn Thomas
« on: Tuesday 15 September 20 20:31 BST (UK) »
Hello Chatters,

I would be very grateful if anyone can find a death date or obituary of Llewellyn Thomas.

He was born in 1843 in Franklin county, Ohio to John Thomas and Clarissa Hunter.  I have all the information on his parents, so I don't need that.  Llewellyn was on the 1860 census with his parents and siblings in Warren county, Indiana, but I can't find him on any succeeding censuses.  He volunteered for the Indiana Volunteers and served in the infantry from 1862 to 1863 in Co. H, 60 Reg.

I've found 3 records on Fld 3, with his name and company designation, one listing his mother as his dependent in Oct of 1890, and his enlistment in Indiana.  He is not mentioned in his mother's obituary of 1908, so I know he was probably deceased by that date.  The FAG entry is mine, so that isn't new.  The family lived in and around Williamsport, Warren, Indiana, so if someone can look for him in those papers from 1860-1908, maybe this mystery can be solved.

Thank you for your interest in this query---Liz
