My grandmother had several cousins who emigrated to Canada. They were the children of Michael Kelly and of Morgan Kelly, brothers of her father Thomas. Daniel Thomas b.1892 and his younger brother John Kelly b.1893, (sons of Morgan) are found on a passenger list emigrating in July 1913 on the "Ionian", final destination Orillia township, Simcoe county, Ontario. But I don't know what became of them except for docs showing Daniel was part of the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in WW1, where he refers to his wife Ellen. They may have married in England in the June quarter 1913. but I have not found her emigration, possibly with baby daughter Mary Ann. Later in March 1919 the men's mother Mary Ann b.c.1865 widow of Morgan Kelly and their siblings, Hannah b.1898, Nora b.1900 and Francis Kelly b.1904 are found on a passenger list on the "Megatama" from Liverpool to St John's, New Brunswick.
Children of the other brother Michael Kelly seem to have found their way to Canada too but I have not found them on passenger lists. A source on familysearch has a daughter Catherine Kelly, b.1887 dying in McBride, British Columbia in June 1964. I don't have access to the 1921 or later censuses so would appreciate any info on these people and any immigration and BMD information, as time allows.
If by any remote chance you are a Kelly descendant, FindMyPast (commercial website) is now putting online RC marriages and baptisms, including these above Kellys, to which I have access. So one good turn deserves another. Thanks very much RH
