Deciphering name on birth registration 1872 Edinburgh
« on: Sunday 27 September 20 20:43 BST (UK) »
Can anybody help with the name of the street Hugh Clark was born at in Edinburgh. It looks like Richard Street, Newington or Richmond perhaps?
Many thanks.

I read it as Richmond Street, Edinburgh ...
Eccles (Hoylake / Exeter / Plymouth)
Hicks (Devonport, Plymouth)
Grafton (Exeter, Devon)
Harris (Marazion, Cornwall)
Collard (Yeovil, Somerset)
Johns (Devonport, Plymouth)
Lyle (Bude, Cornwall)

Fabulous.  Strange I can't find them in the 1871 census.  That was my main drive for knowing the correct address.  Margaret the mother (maiden name Farquharson) and Peter Clark (married as Patrick Clark from Ireland) don't appear in 1871 census.  Knowing the correct address will help track them down, hopefully.
