Identification of items on munster fusiliers photo

Hi
I have posted this image in previous posts, however this is now a copy of the original that I have finally got my hands on!!
I know the quality is terrible, however I have notice stripes on both of the soldiers sleeves, can anyone please tell me the significance of these.
The soldier in question is Eugene Daly 2nd Batt. RMF, I think this was taken after end of WW1
