I have a photograph I am trying to date in an attempt to identify the subjects. It was taken by B W Walters, Grove Studio, Westbourne (Place?), Merthyr Tydfil.

I have been unable to find any on-line reference to him. I guess the photograph was taken around 1900 or even earlier.

Can anyone find something I have missed?

Carole. Thanks for that. At least I have not missed anything obvious

I am not equipped to post the photo but perhaps I should have explained that it is pasted onto a cardboard mount, on which the photographer's details are inscribed. The script does seem more modern and it is possible that it is a later mounting of a copy of an earlier photograph. If so it will be of little help in the dating of the photograph.
