Dumfries census 1841

Can anyone tell me regarding the Dumfries 1841 census how I can look at farms in the stoop area without knowing  the name of the farm, I hope this makes sense.Thanking you in anticipation,stoop.

FreeCEN has the 1841 transcription for Dumfries, you can search by address , or you could narrow the search by Parish  :-\

Apologies gadget this is what my post was about. My g.g.g. grandfather had a farm in the Stoop, Dumfries.Its name I have not been able to identify it only that it was referred to as a fermtoun he died in 1829 to early for the first census in 1841.HIs names Thomas Kerr.I hope this clarifies matters regards stoop.

In 1855, a William Lockerbie is shown as the proprietor/occupier of a house and garden at Stoop.  You could try looking for him on the 1841 - 1861 censuses.
