Been looking into Nellie’s brother Christopher too. He was born in Cambridge in 1883, and served with the 12th Royal Lancers from 1901 to 1909, marrying Elsie B Brown in the Lewisham registration district in 1914. I can’t see him in 1911, but he was in the Army Reserve from 1909 to 1913. In 1939 Christopher and Elsie are living in Bromley with their daughter Ida. Elsie would appear to be the Elsie B Pepper who died in the Dartford registration district in 1941. Can anyone help me find Christopher?

At birth he was Christopher James Pepper.
If he was living in Bromley in 1939 the below is a good contender for his death.

Deaths Jun 1943
Pepper    Christopher J    57    Bromley    2a   949

Excellent, thanks! Age is a few years off, but that’s often the case. He was in Bromley in 1939.
