This is the image of the 1851 "birthplace" for Joseph.  I'd agree with lizdb.  Family Search got it wrong.


Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I don't have a problem i was telling the OP they are my family, joseph and sarah go on to live in canada after following my g grandfather joseph frank frank he married harriet walker, but he had many children out of wedlock, there is one thing i can't work out, wby 1881 joseph and sarah are running a farm in fillongley warwickshire and i can't find how that happened the deeleys were all farmers but joseph was working on the railways?

Sorry, I meant what were you wanting help with on this thread, as you seem to already have Jospeh Franks's ancestry sorted - i.e father Joseph, that Joseph's mother Ursula, and then already found her parents.

The change of job was nothing unusual.

Many people moved from working on the land to working with machinery, in factories etc, and the railways were an up and coming concept.  A farm could only support so many people, so if there were lots of children some may well move on to different things. Plus, in the age of Industrial Revolution, many "children" wanted something different than the toiling on the land that they had seen their parents doing, and probably heard about their forebears doing!

Back in 1861 his occupation is "Railway Guard/Grocer".  1871 - Railway Porter.
