Warwick Albert Dicker
« on: Thursday 22 October 20 17:25 BST (UK) »
Warwick is my 1st cousin twice removed. He was born in Exeter, Devon in 1871, the eldest son of Henry John Dicker and Emily Ann Tapper. I have recently discovered that he married Violet Elia Taylor in Durban on 19th Sept 1908.
Please can anyone help me fill in the gaps as to whether or not they had any children and when did Warwick and Violet died. Warwick came from a very musical family and other relatives had gone out to South Africa before so I wonder if he went out there at a relative's invitation.
Any information will be very gratefully received.

There is an entry on Ancestry for him which may be of interest.  He served in the UK Imperial Yeomanry number 43699 - attested 29.1.1902 - rank Private but promoted to Corporal 30.5.1902 & discharged at his own request 31.10.1902

He was in SA from 27/5 to 31/10 but looks like he stayed there.  Discharged in Deelfontein - occ caterer - intended place of residence Johannesburg

Thank you. That also lets me know that she was born in South Africa and that Warwick had already died.
1913 not too long after they had married, and still in the Durban area. Looks like he was intent on staying.
