If he was the man mentioned in Venn's Cambridge Alumni, he was born at Cornard Suffolk. graduated from Clare College in 1710 & ordained in 1713. He certainly became vicar of Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Essex in 1714. I'm after his baptism & marriage to Sophia Sidney baptised in Margaretting, Essex 13 Apr 1695.

CCED has him as Vicar of T D'A 1714-41, and also Rector of Salcot Virley, Essex 1718-41.

The latter might help with his marriage.....
