Toro,

I took the liberty of altering your subject heading. I hope you do not mind. Your previous heading was Co. Mayo. This is the Co. Mayo board.
The alteration should be beneficial to you. You should get a lot of replies.

There was a John Rush living in the Town of Ballaghaderreen, Chapel- Lane in the Parish of Kilcolman in 1856-7 when Griffiths Valuation of Ireland was conducted in Co. Mayo. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php
This map shows the Catholic Parish of Ballaghaderreen

Toro,

Have you 'Googled' for Ballaghaderreen?  There are many hits!

It seems that it was once in Co Mayo (the place of my ancestors) but later in Co Roscommon.

I don't know about the availability of RC (or other) parish records.

All the very best,

JAP

Good thinking Christopher - I have amended the title of the first post too so that all replies pick up that heading and it also appears that way on the index.

I hope this generates some responses for you Toro.  ;)

Thank you for amending my Subject.  It does take me awhile to reply - never can find where to post the reply.  I'm getting there though.
Very much appreciated.
