Margaret ROBB was born in Dundonald Ayrshire about 1843.
She was the daughter of James ROBB and Elizabeth McLAUCHLAN who were married 12 Oct 1838 Dundonald, Ayrshire.

This is James and Elizabeth and family in the
1851 censushttps://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/59027a9de9379091b11b8bfd/james-robb-1851-ayrshire-ayr-1801-?locale=enYou will see on the census that both James and Margaret were from Ireland. They were married in Scotland and their children were born there.
It would appear that the father James ROBB died after the 1851 census, and before the 1859. I did not see a burial record for him.
In
1861 census (Irvine, Ayrshire) the mother Elizabeth ROBB is now Elizabeth CONWAY - the wife of Thomas CONWAY, a grocer and mason, born in Ireland about 1829.
Elizabeth (widow) married Thomas CONWAY in Irvine in 1859. The marriage certificate will give you the names of her parents.
In this census, the daughters Margaret Robb and Martha Robb are referred to as step-daughters of Thomas CONWAY.
Also living in the same house is William James CONWAY age 21, a coal miner, who is the brother to Thomas CONWAY, the head of the house.
Elizabeth (McLauchlan - Robb) CONWAY died in Irvine in 1869 aged 60.
So Margaret ROBB married the William James CONWAY who was the brother of her step-father Thomas CONWAY. Therefore the marriage certificate for Thomas CONWAY to Elizabeth will ALSO give you the parents names for William James CONWAY.
