From the records noted on this post William & Margaret were born about 1844, I do not see a baptism in Scotland for William but there are possibilities for Margaret but you would need their marriage record for their fathers names.

It may be more difficult to find William because he was born before civil registration in Ireland.

Births: 1864 to 1919
Marriages: 1845 to 1944
Deaths: 1871 to 1969

on the 1891census he was living in Irvine in Ayr

For clarity, I assume you mean the County of Ayr which is Ayrshire.

You say in your opening post that you have the 1891 census for William James CONWAY. If that is the case, then you will see on the census that William James CONWAY is recorded as born in Ireland, and aged 48.
•   His marriage certificate will give you the names of his parents.
•   His death certificate from 1894 records his mother’s maiden name as DILLON.
•   It would seem that many of the children of William James Conway and Margaret Robb were born in Ballyhay, Ireland. It looks like they returned to Ireland in about 1865, and came back to Irvine, Scotland in about 1888.
This is the link to the birth record for Elizabeth Conway in 1867.

The marriage of Eliza Jane CONWAY to Hugh MOORE on 15 April 1884 in Newtownards. She is recorded as 18 years old

Margaret ROBB was born in Dundonald Ayrshire about 1843.
She was the daughter of James ROBB and Elizabeth McLAUCHLAN who were married 12 Oct 1838 Dundonald, Ayrshire.
This is James and Elizabeth and family in the 1841 census
https://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/5a14200af4040b9d6e0980ab/james-robb-1841-ayrshire-kilwinning-1806-?locale=en
(The Margaret Robb age 55 living with the family is possibly James Robb’s mother. )

This is James and Elizabeth and family in the 1851 census
https://www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/59027a9de9379091b11b8bfd/james-robb-1851-ayrshire-ayr-1801-?locale=en
You will see on the census that both James and Margaret were from Ireland. They were married in Scotland and their children were born there.

It would appear that the father James ROBB died after the 1851 census, and before the 1859. I did not see a burial record for him.

In 1861 census (Irvine, Ayrshire) the mother Elizabeth ROBB is now Elizabeth CONWAY - the wife of Thomas CONWAY, a grocer and mason, born in Ireland about 1829.
•   Elizabeth (widow) married Thomas CONWAY in Irvine in 1859. The marriage certificate will give you the names of her parents.
In this census, the daughters Margaret Robb and Martha Robb are referred to as step-daughters of Thomas CONWAY.
Also living in the same house is William James CONWAY age 21, a coal miner, who is the brother to Thomas CONWAY, the head of the house.

•   Elizabeth (McLauchlan - Robb) CONWAY died in Irvine in 1869 aged 60.

So Margaret ROBB married the William James CONWAY who was the brother of her step-father Thomas CONWAY. Therefore the marriage certificate for Thomas CONWAY to Elizabeth will ALSO give you the parents names for William James CONWAY.
Go to Scotlands People to get this marriage record (note mis-spelled name):
CONEWY   THOMAS
MCLACHLAN   ELIZABETH      1859   595/ 6   Irvine
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)
Roberts - Spry: (Cornwall, Middlesex & Queensland)
Munster: (Schleswig-Holstein & Queensland) and Plate: (Braunschweig, Neubruck & Queensland & New York)

Elizabeth Jane Conway 1864 -1867  she was my grandmother married Hugh Moore in Ireland in 1884

......as far as Elizabeth Jane Conway who was my grand mother it was only when someone sent me a message listing her as Elizabeth Robb Conway born 1867 and married a Archibald taylor ramsay   and showed the same family tree as elizabeth Jane.....

Elizabeth Robb CONWAY who married Archibald RAMSAY in Irvine was definitely the daughter of the William CONWAY and Margaret ROBB being discussed.  Her marriage shows her father's address and his occupation is a coal miner.  Elizabeth was aged 21 when she married in December 1889.  Sister Sarah witnessed the marriage.

Eliza Jane CONWAY married Hugh MOORE in April 1884 at Newtownards and was aged 18.  She names her father as William, a labourer, and the witnesses are William and Margaret STEWART.
