im researching someone who was stoker mechanic on hms forth in 1953 ive looked it up looks like submarine depot ship ? not sure what one of those is i presume i have right ship for 1953

many thanks for that the person im researching i think was stoker /mechanic one thing im confused abt is his number theres letter c/few letters then numbers i thought it should be letter / then numbers does letter c means stationed at chatham

The Royal Navy do not keep crew lists in the same way as they do in say the Merchant Navy. So it is very unlikely you will find a complete list of the crew.

With regard to his service number the prefix C = Chatham which would be his home port. His number would be something like C/MX123456 or variant.
