No I don't...I speak as someone who makes a hobby out of it and have done for a few years. I look for matching trees on Ancestry if the photo is named.
It would be better if you could amend the title of your post to include a name, then anyone researching that name and googling it will be brought here.

I would say 13-14 years old.
Carol

Thank you, I will do that.

I was a little worried about copywrite on the image from ebay... That's why I didn't put his name.

Thank you, I will do that.

Hi,

Could someone please give a rough date on the clothing?  Not sure at the moment who it could be.

Thank you!

There is nothing to indicate this apart from his age, but I wondered if it was his Bar-Mitzvah?

Hi all,

Was a bit intrigued by this one and with lockdown2 time heavy on my hands couldn't resist a bit of a look.

With that Bishop's Road (later Bishop's Way) address for the photographer and using the date and age suggested by Jim and Carol I thought this was a possible birth:

Mar qtr 1887 Bethnal Green 1C 273
HARDING, Albert John. (mmn HALE)

This boy looks to be at Old Bethnal Green Road in 1891 and at Maidstone Street In 1901. Both these addresses are but a short step from that photographer's studio. By 1911 he is at Carlton Road, Walthamstow with his first wife Amelia (Castle, m.1907) and two daughters.

By the beginning of WW2 Albert is with his second wife Daisy R (Osborne, m.1939) and he is licensee of The Gun Tavern, Wapping High Street. The pub was destroyed in 1940.

Googling about - as you do - I came across a Blog post featuring a photograph of the bombed out pub in the late 1940s. One of the comments on the photo was from a Grandson of Albert. He says that many family photos were lost in the fire.

I have left a comment for the Grandson directing him back here. Let's hope he finds his way here soon and that if confirmed as his Grandfather that lovely picture can be reunited with the family.

Best regards, Tony.

Thank you for finding the Grandson!

I have been a bit preoccupied with a bereavement in the family and haven't had a chance to have a look for the relatives.

Hi Bidr,

So sorry to hear of your family's sad loss. Sending sympathy and best wishes to you and yours.

The Hardings were an interesting family to look at and a bit of a change from 'my lot' who have been playing hard to get lately!

Hopefully the Grandson can confirm that I haven't taken any wrong turns.

Tony.
