No luck so far in finding the facebook post sorry (i’m a member of quite a few groups as i have ancestors from many areas of England and Wales). I seem to recall there were links to somewhere in Devon too.

The 1851 census has Joseph Slee age 32 (bn c1819) and Mary 34 (born c1817).  We also have to consider that Mary may have said that she is younger than she is as often happens when marrying a younger man.

Joseph is definietly 1820. His side went swimmingly when doing the layer above him. Son of Joseph Slee and Grace Cudmore. His father was a thatcher, married after Grace's death in 1830 to Mary Bowden. Even found his baptism to Ambrose Slee and Catherine in 1787. Ambrose also a thatcher. Even have Grace Cudmore's parents.

I was hoping the Evans would go just as smooth.
