Brilliant, both of you.  But are you sure the census says the workhouse?  He was definitely admitted to the Charterhouse in 1907, was there in 1926 and, presumably, died there in 1930.  It's vaguely possible that he was sent to the workhouse infirmary for a time, but not likely.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

He is in the Charterhouse - it's on the end of the same set of images as the workhouse, so I guess the description has been carried over in some transcriptions

Thank you Mabel -- it does show as Sculcoates Union Wokhouse on the Genealogist.

Suttontrust it is just possible that you may be able to obtain copies of his Charterhouse records from the local Archives.

If this was me, I would firstly obtain his death certificate to see where he died. However as you definitely know he was in the Charterhouse - it would still be worth checking with the Archives. I am honestly not sure whether that would be Leeds or Wakefield - sorry, but if you contact one of them they may know. West Yorkshire records seem to be split between various places.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

I have the Charterhouse records, Pennines - the register which goes from 1832 up to 1921.  And the Hull Daily Mail piece from the by-election of Nov 1926 names him as one of the residents.
Thank you, Mabel, confusion solved.

My apologies suttontrust for;

1. The misleading information on the 1911 census, on the Genealogist -- I didn't make up the Workhouse location.
2. Suggesting you obtain the records you already hold!
