FindMyPast have images of transcriptions of Bampton parish registers - no indication of surname of Groves.

BUT there is a baptism of Thomas GROOVES, son of Samuel - 25 April 1779

plus  Elizabeth, daughter of Samuel - 22 July 1781

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
