chempat, Mary was baptised on 26 Feb 1836 in St Michael's Limerick, the daughter of Patrick Kirby and Margaret Barry.

Jim, the specific death date should make it possible to find her death certficate, but no such luck!

Thanks Elwyn, I thought something like that must have been the case.

If she died where it is said
Two pages of deaths in relevant registrar's district in June qtr 1900
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1900/05757/4626243.pdf

Couple of deaths at Inch St. Lawrence on second page
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1900/05757/4626244.pdf

Some deaths seem to have been registered very late.
Only a page of deaths registered in the Sep quarter.

Note the first register number there is 239
Following on from the last death in Caherconlish in the June qtr, which was number 238 on the 25th June.
Nothing missing!

Thanks, jonw65, I was just trying to work out how to look for all the deaths registered then.

The first page is really interesting - the Maurice Kirby who died in 1899 at Ballyhudane was Mary Laffan nee Kirby's uncle! He was the brother of her father Patrick Kirby, who died in 1847 and was one of the parties to her marriage settlement in 1855, another being her widowed mother, Margaret.

Perhaps with all the chaos over her uncle's death, someone forgot to register her death!
