Actually the subsequent children total 6:

Albert 1887
George 1890
Joseph 1893
Reginald 1897
Kathleen 1898
Harold 1901 (died young)

So the numbers mentioned in 1911 don’t seem to include Maysie.

Perhaps she was adopted? The early years of the marriage don’t appear to have been fertile - maybe they thought there wouldn’t be birth children?

Good morning..I think the case has been 'cracked' and Harold is the missing casualty. I think I found Maisie in the 1901 census in service as Elizabeth M Meredith in Hereford...I'll look for a wedding for her - I think she possibly was adopted or an illegimate child to Mary and Joseph took her under his wing
