Duplicates

Hi

For months my Ancestry family tree has been looking like the London Underground map, with lots of blue and. pink lines joining ancestors who appear in several places on the tree. I thought that it was due to my gt-grandparents being 1st cousins, which obviously duplicates their parents.

When I tried using the merge facility it usually came up with a message saying 'already selected as person1'.

Last week, for no apparent reason, all this disappeared and the tree is now uncluttered.

It seems that Ancestry have sorted out some problem, which they must have been aware of for some time.

I have now found a number of contacts, with Ancestry trees, who say that they have experinced the same thing.

All rather odd!
