Thanks a lot everyone.
You have found the two birth records.

What information would be on a Scottish birth record? Any details of interest about the parents?

What about census. They should be in the 1861 census probably

O'SHAUGHNESSY
BRIDGET FRANCES
F
1862
145/ 29
Aberlour

Could there be a twin for Bridget Frances? There is also this birth showing for them on the FS index www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYYH-PYY

Certainly the 1862 reg birth should show the date and place of parents' marriage. Really useful clue if parents originated from Ireland when trying to work out their origins.

A further possible birth showing in England in 1864. From the entry, the family were RC?

Well that's odd, not on SP but there's this which is close in ref. no....

Could it have been a transcription error somehow although it seems highly unlikely as they're 4 spaces apart  :-\

SIMON WILLIAM 1862
145/ 25 Aberlour

O'SHAUGHNESSY BRIDGET FRANCES 1862
145/ 29 Aberlour

Annie

Add...I think it is some kind of error (although I can't work out what) as William Simon isn't showing on familysearch?
