Thanks for your help Michael, it's much appreciated. I will let you know how we get on as we have had interruptions on our Smart TV. too which is only 3 weeks old, probably just coincidence though.

Just an update on yesterdays query...we found a solution on the HP website. Pulled out the power cable and held down the start button for 30 seconds and the problem was solved. Hopefully, this will help anyone who has the same issue.
