The person who would not say “ Hello” reminds me of a comic clip about a spoof report about a man from The North  terrifying Londoners by saying “hello.”
It is The Mash Report .
It is hilarious , Google it ,I don’t know how to forward it but will try.
Viktoria.

Have you seen the Mash Report ?
It is funny ,I know it is a vast generalisation but in my daughter’s village they do look askance if you speak first ,yet they will quite happily quiz you .
When you get to know them they open up.
Once asked where I came from ,I thought “ I will be naughty,”
“ The County Palatine “
“ Oh! Where is that?”
‘ Lancashire “
“ Oh yes ——- I can hear it.”
“ Yes, good isn’t it!”
Actually there are more Counties Palatine , but you see why we can’t  just let anybody in!—- assuming they wanted to come in!
Cheerio.

No I have not seen the Mash report, I am afraid it is not the sort of programme that I would generally watch.  Maybe I should give it a try one day when I get control of the remote  ;D

I’m not allowed to use it either.... and if I do I have to ask which buttons do what! Daughter sent OH a Christmas card one year of a chap sitting in his armchair, paper hat on surrounded by tv remotes and titled ‘ I’m the tv controller in this family’ we thought it was very funny.... him not quite so 😂😂

To be honest I would not know what to do with it.  ::)  He did show me once but we now have a new tv so I really ought to have lessons in case I ever have to use it.

I would have loved that card too  ;D
