Malaysia - marriage abt 1948-49

Hi
I’m looking for a marriage in Malaysia which took place about 1948 between Robert Stuart Campbell BENDLE and Mary S BRUCE.  I am aware they had a daughter, Mary, born 1949 also in Malaysia.  If anyone can direct me where to start looking for this information, a marriage or the birth of Mary,  I'd be grateful
