Has anyone found Lillian in 1939?

Possibly with the Chadwicks? She might be redacted.
I don't think we have her death, so maybe they don't either.

witness are as given as Doris Lillian Carr   and Frank Chadwick  the fathers name is given as Frank Chadwick adopted father

But does it actually say that Doris was her mother? Where is it written? An adoptive father might be given for father in the appropriate column. There might be some extra info in a non-con register, but presumably this is the standard GRO cert that you have, and, as heywood said, mothers are not named.

There is a redacted name but somehow it doesn’t look like that one  :-\

The birth certificate would seem to be the best way to find Lilian’s parents.

A birth in 1903 connected to Sarah Ann's Lilleshall family
CARR, HAROLD
Mother's Maiden Surname:
GRO Reference: 1903  D Quarter in NEWPORT SALOP AND STAFFORD  Volume 06A  Page 745

Don't know who Harold's mother is.
Here he is in the free index to the 1911 census, age 8 (should be 7?), with William and Mary Carr, and their 16 year old daughter Cissie.
I don't think Cissie married until 1927.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X72J-WRL

Possible marriage for him.
March 1930 Market Bosworth 7a 139
Carr, Harold - spouse Rowlson
Rowlson, Kathleen M. - spouse Carr

A birth, won't name her on here
March 1932  Wellington Sh.
Carr, ..... ......
mother Rowlson

Could she be the marriage witness?

Hi
It looks like it is the only way at the moment!
I am thinking that perhaps it was an illegitimate birth that was covered up, so to speak. With the mother claiming to be married to Mr Morris.

Your findings look good, Jon, as ever.  :)

There is a marriage for the person born 1932 in 1951, Wellington and a possible death in 2004, Staffordshire which has the full name.
As we are not sure, I will continue not to name.

Lilian’s birth certificate would give an insight into the family circumstances.

There is a death in 1922, July quarter, Bury for Alice Morris aged 40 yrs.
This would fit with the earlier birth of Lilian.
It is all supposition at the moment.

Hi
Oh, well done, heywood!
That does look very promising.
And a Bury connection too :)

Solution could be within touching distance!

There is a death in 1922, July quarter, Bury for Alice Morris aged 40 yrs.
This would fit with the earlier birth of Lilian.

That is sad. But it would suggest a good explanation of how Lillian came to be adopted by the Chadwicks.
