Trying to discover more information on two of their daughters:
Mary born 1890 and Elizabeth J born 1896

If you are looking for marriages etc you will need to use freebmd.  You can try using the 1939 register for Elizabeth's with that birthdate

You are only looking at the index.  You need full access to look for an Elizabeth (no surname) with the full birthdate of 19.1.1896

You appear to be looking for an Elizabeth Williams but if she married - her surname may not be Williams.

When you find any Elizabeth's with that birthdate you need to match the marriage to an Elizabeth Williams (eg)   You find an Elizabeth Bloggs b 19.1.1896 married to Joseph Bloggs.  Look on freebmd to find if she was nee Williams.  If any children are shown on the 1939 entry it's useful to check their births to determine mmn
