The Notts FHS CD has the following baptisms, all at St Mary Magdalene in Sutton in Ashfield. Parents of all are John and Ann or Anne:

1824 06 06      Sarah      CROSSLAND
1825 07 02      Samuel   CROSLAND
1827 07 28      Ellen      CROSLAND
1830 02 14      Willey      CROSLAND
1832 01 15      Rebecca      CROSSLAND

Father's occupation for all except Willey was Joiner (FWK for Willey's baptism).

These are the Crossland burials, with ages, listed in the same church:

1839 10 23   Sarah   CROSSLAND   15
1840 07 17   John   CROSLAND   40
1874 07 08   Samuel   CROSSLAND   49   Swan Yd
1876 05 04   Ann   CROSSLAND   73   Kirkby parish

If your contact is a second cousin, that means that you share a gt-grandparent, so it's (very!) likely that the link, if it exists, will be more recent than that --possibly much more recent! But Ancestry hints and links have to be taken with a pinch of salt and you are right to investigate it rather than just to accept it.

Pryce/Price (Welshpool, Liverpool)
Rawson (Leicester)
Upton (Desford, Leics)

Just click Forum and tab down the page for the county concerned.

Click on the county.

If it is a different family than your Crosland/Crossland one - start a new topic by clicking 'New Topic' at the right hand side of that Forum Page.

(I hope that is clear -- if not just come back to us.)

Do you have details from your contact about these people?
The only marriage I can see which might be this couple is 1968 where the lady has a different surname. There is a previous marriage for her though which gives her the correct surname.
It is not in Nottinghamshire either.  :-\
