Did she report his death?  If not - is he shown as a widower on the 1921 death cert?

Possible:

Hull, June quarter 1938 - Caroline E Mansell, aged 80.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thanks CaroleW.

I'm afraid I haven't got his death certificate. His probate is on Ancestry.

I suppose I could send for his death certificate. I never thought about that because I was happy when I obtained his death date.

Thanks BumbleB. I would send for the certificate if its a good chance.

I was wondering if there was an electoral register with them both at Bankes Road.

The 1921 census is going to be so useful.

I have sent for his death certificate which will help I hope.

I would possibly have sent for the 1921 will for Richard - £1.50 - and it might possibly mention Caroline - I'm assuming that you know who Frederick Clare is  :-\  (But then I am a nosy person  :o)
