Is this the Carnduff in the parish of Avondale or the Carnduff in the parish of East Kilbride?
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

He said North which is in East Kilbride.  Mid and Carnduff aka Cairnduff Hall are across the line in Avondale.  Unless he means the one in Bothwell which certainly makes this post more interesting.

Carnduff99 what Parish do you have or don't you know.

Extracted from the mortcloth payment records of Avondale parish.

(Mortcloths were embroidered cloths of various sizes, owned by the parish and hired out to be used as coverings for the plain pine coffins. The income from Mortcloth rentals was used to help upkeep the poor of the parish).

December 1770. - John Wilson in Carnduff.
17th September 1772. - John Wilson in Carnduff, his child.
18th July 1776. - Robert Wilson in Carnduff's wife.

Extracted from the burial register for Avondale parish.

15th November 1817. - Daughter of John Wilson, Carnduff. Interred in the 2 breadth.

11th March 1851. - Robert Wilson, North Carnduff. (Interred) at the headstone.

The various numbers at the end of the entry will refer to the particular lair in the family plot. Each parish burial ground had its own way of recording burials.

I should have said, the burial register only begins at 1817 and finishes at 1854. There are several blocks of years with mortcloth entries (in the parish accounts) 1758, 1759, 1760, 1761 and 1768. They are very difficult to read and have little relevant information.
