Charles Belcher - m Jane ?? 1820ish Berks

Burial of Mary Belcher  in West Hanney, 28 Jan 1812 says wife of Charles. Just a few days after last child born.

And little Henry's burial, age 7 weeks buried 8 March 1812 s/o Charles and Mary (deceased)

Two more burials in West Hanney
William Belcher age 83 (1730) buried 6 Jan 1813
Elizabeth Belcher age 64 (1752) buried 5 July 1816
Both were from Lyford Almshouses. Despite the age difference were they husband and wife?

There is a baptism of an Elizabeth Higgs in WH on 23 Feb 1752 d/o Richard and Ann, but can't find an Elizabeth Brothers of right age

If it was the right one she would be the Elizabeth for the Aug 1770 marriage - rather young at 18 or so. But there is an Ann baptised on 2 Sep 1770 d/o William and Elizabeth.

Found the Elizabeth Brothers marriage, she was a widow and so was William. I think she might be the widow of John Brothers who married Elizabeth Dowling of Uffington on 23 Dec 1767. A John Brothers was buried in WH on 1 Dec 1770

John Brothers and Elizabeth had daughters Martha bapt 4 sept 1768 and Ann bapt 18 Feb 1770
and then there is a baptism for a Mariam Brothers on 11 Jun 1775, mother Elizabeth Brothers, no father mentioned. This is shortly before marriage to William Belcher which was 22 July 1775 not 1774.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
Thank you for all the additional info. It all seems to fit into my tree.

I'm sure  that Charles is the s/o William & Eliza (nee Brothers) and that Daniel is the s/o Charles - this is what I was trying to determine.  With so many "Belchers" around it's almost impossible to be
100% accurate all with same name(s).

Yes, it's a pity you can't find Daniel's baptism. OH has a direct ancestor who many on-line trees have with the wrong parents just because he is with them in 1841. He was actually orphaned when about 4 and the couple he was with were his uncle and aunt. He was baptised as an adult shortly before he married.

Yes it is difficult to find Daniel's bapt... An on-line tree on Ancy.. is saying he was bapt. 29-1-1821
West Hanney. No proof as such but they also refer to his marriage cert. and quote details taken from it. Also saying Elizabeth Greenaway (his wife) was a minor.

The OxfordFHS has released a CD which includes West Hanney up to 1982. Very tempted to buy but most of the other parishes on this CD I already have, so I see no reason to duplicate.
