I am researching my husband's tree and have found his maternal grandfather - George Ratcliffe - who died as a result of a pedal cycle accident in June 1946 in Cransley, Northamptonshire. Can anyone advise if there are likely to be any newspaper reports about this and, if so, how I go about finding them. Thank you

I've always found Kettering Library to be an excellent source of Northamptonshire newspapers.
Under normal circumstances I'd have jumped on a bus and gone to look for the info for you ... but not now !
It appears there are staff working there to operate a lending service, so it might be worth an email to them to see if they can help. Email address at  https://www.facebook.com/ketteringlibrary/

Seems that if you are a member of Northamptonshire Libraries you can access online resources including Ancestry, Find My Past and British Newspaper Archive.... what I don't know if you can access these from home like you can at Bedfordshire Libraries during these Covid restrictions, or are they only available using PCs within the library.

Thank you, but I'm not aware of Northants having the facility for us to use them from home.
Nothing found in Newspaper section of Find My Past.
