I've found a piece in the Rhos Herald (31 Dec 1904), which I think records his funeral service at Salem, Penycae on the previous Saturday. but that was the 25th!

Maybe a proper Welsh speaker might help.

Although Welsh (the true North Wales Welsh  )  was compulsory at school,  I left the homeland for the bright lights of London in 1963 and returned to visit my parents every few months. I rarely spoke it after that!
