Captain Tom and his daughter plus her husband and their children were given free flights to Barbados in December.
It did look like a low risk destination, but there was a spike around Christmas and 450 cases in the second half of January.

Radio reports have negated the Barbados theory. He only tested positive on Sat/Sunday and he came back from Barbados soon after Christmas.

Was his pneumonia mis-diagnosed I wonder?. The last time my wife and I was him on television we remarked he didn't appear to be in the best of health and I think this was not long after his return from Barbados. I am sure we all wish him well and a speedy recovery.
