Good evening,

I didn't know anything about the clapping until I turned the news on, and by then it was over! What a stupid time to do it and with no warning.

I only found out 10 minutes ago, when I opened up RC. We had demolition gang member no 4 today so daughter could get on with her next OU task. Only got home about 10 past 6 after dropping him back.

Well, I think Captain Tom certainly deserves a grand peal of bells.  :)

I agree Groom, perhaps there just hasn't been enough publicity or notice given.

I don't think bell ringing is allowed at the moment. Same as 1st lockdown, churches only open for private prayer. In most churchs I doubt they could socially distance.

My condolences Jool on the loss of your mum.

I clapped for Sir Tom tonight, a few others on doorsteps and some car horn honking.

I was also clapping for my dear mom who died of Covid last week (she also acquired it in a hospital)  :'( :'( :'(

Jool....So sorry to hear about your Mum  :'( :'( my sincere condolences to you and your Family, it's such a cruel illness, I do hope that she didn't suffer too much.
Thinking about you.

I too would like to extend my sympathy Jool.
A friend has just found out she has cancer and must go in to hospital ,of course she is dreadfully worried  that she will be safe besides the reason to go in, ,diabetic too .
If only those breaking rules and ignoring advice would realise what harm their actions can do !
How old was your Mum?I hope she had a full and interesting life .
I am truly sorry.
Kind regards,Viktoria.

This poem was put on a site I use and I think you would like to read it and hopefully we will be able to fight this horrible virus.
