Radio reports have negated the Barbados theory. He only tested positive on Sat/Sunday and he came back from Barbados soon after Christmas.

It's not the trip to Barbados that concerns me, but the journey through the airport?
And, maybe, the fellow passengers on the flight?

But I think they came back a month ago. It seems a long time for the virus to develop. I assume he was tested earlier when he developed symptoms  and only tested positive at the weekend.

The press releases say that he'd had pneumonia for 3 weeks.

So very sorry to hear that. I couldn't believe it when it was announced that he'd caught the virus, it's so ironic and so so sad.

This news is so very sad but a long life well lived. I was pleased to read that his daughters were allowed to be with him at the end.

My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

RIP Captain Sir Tom
