Glyn, that's horrific for you both on top of everything else that's happened, I feel for you both and even with the hardships myself and the OH face, can't imagine how it must be for the both of you.
As far as I'm concerned, you can ramble on as much as you like, we need to get things off our chest.
If I didn't write a little on here, I'd go mad tbh.
And thank you for telling us so we can understand too.
You certainly have my full admiration.

Thanks Griff I know exactly how you feel too. Though I guess your situation is a bit different as I understand your OH is bedbound whereas mine can at least be up and about.

Do you remember Blaster Bates? You know what he said about ”experts”. Ex is a has been and a spurt is a drip under pressure.

LM don’t know if you’re aware but I’m in Sweden. Yes we can get help here too but OH is fiercely independent and we manage well without help and will as long as we can. Now during the pandemic we let as few people as possible in the house. Sadly there have been a number of incidents where home carers pay visits wearing no protective clothing. For some inexplicable reason many of them are also anti vaccine so as far as that’s concerned they wouldn’t get past my front doorstep

Hi Glyn, yes, that's a name I haven't heard in a very long time.

I've had a few occasions where I've had to deal with our "wonderful" 🙄 non/semi emergency phone service rather than a 999 emergency, and the operative on the other end gave me very bad advice, so I asked to speak to a medically trained person.
After having a conversation with that person, I was told "you're the expert, not the operative." how true that is.

Another funny epitaph from A Small Book of Grave Humour.

This monument was erected in memory of xxxx

who was accidentally shot dead

By a few affectionate friends

Glyn, I'm sure there are those who think I am. 🤔😂

And the epitaph, that's my sense of humour for sure.
I don't think my family thought it funny when they read the card I'd put on the flowers at my mum's funeral.
" I've arranged a party for you, on the one day you can't come"
She would have laughed her head off 😁

Glywri, Griff, I can't imagine how difficult life must be for you both on a day to day basis, it's not surprising that you feel the need to let off steam. Or 'share' as everyone seems to insist on saying these days!

MH, I'm sorry to hear how demoralised you feel, it must be awful reading about how well the vaccination programme is going in other parts of the country while you're not even getting supplies of the vaccine. I hope things improve soon and also hope that you have been able to get out for a walk today.

Annette, hope the weather is kind to you and you can make it to your dental appointment. Looks like all of those on the east side are likely to be hit with the white stuff.  :( Whoever would have thought we'd be wishing for an appointment with the dentist!

Wow, things move fast sometimes. The hospital rang just over an hour ago and asked if we could come in on Monday afternoon! They had someone scheduled for surgery Tuesday who cancelled this afternoon due to Covid. So they rescheduled. Will take OH in Monday afternoon, surgery Tuesday and all being well home again Wednesday. So a hectic weekend ahead of us. In a way just as well to get it over with as soon as possible. Now tacos and a bottle of red.

Hope all goes well, enjoy your tacos and wine in the meantime.

LM, I agree, MH has kept our spirits up throughout these months.

No sign of Caroline on today's diary, hope she's okay.
