Robin and Jamie MacTaggart
« on: Sunday 07 February 21 22:34 GMT (UK) »
Trying to find my childhood friends Jamie and Robin MacTaggart and wondered if their deaths were recorded in Hawick Cemetery's. Jamie, , as far as I can remember was killed when taking part in a TT Race in 1967 and would be born in 1942. His brother Robin emigrated to South Africa and may be a Robin MacTaggart born in 1941 and died in 1981.

If Jamie died in a TT race, did he not die on the Isle of Man which is where it would be recorded?

There is also this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Isle_of_Man_TT_Mountain_Course_fatalities#List_of_fatal_accidents_during_other_events  No mention of McTaggart/Mac showing there.

Could it have been another race or practice?

Were they born in Scotland? I just can't see a birth/death for a Robin MacTaggart (allowing for spelling variations)  :-\
