The one in West Brom is the son of William the joiner from the parish entry for his marriage to Ellen Stevens - see reply 11.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N6CT-7ZP

I've checked online scan of register, father William noted as joiner. And that's why I'd given details of William the labourer's family in reply 14. Baptism already noted in reply 3.

I think I found a marriage for John son of Richard Weaver, I'll have another look.

Hi All,
Great news the contact who had the marriage cert has come back to me and sent me a copy of the marriage certificate  :) :)
Here are the details
John Weaver it lists was aged 38 (born around 1835 based on this) - he was single and is listed as a Mariner  :)
His Father was William Weaver (deceased) and he had worked as a Carter as his occupation
Should be able to get somewhere now again hopefully

I would take the age at marriage with a pinch of salt. He probably lost a few years to bring him nearer in age to his wife. He's reasonably consistent on census entries. Also, think we've already found the correct family for you as William the labourer was noted as waggoner on at least one of the children's baptisms.

Death reg for William may confirm occupation
