Decided as it was gloriously sunny ,to take my walk mid day, it was really lovely.However,there was a funeral in the Cemetery so I avoided that area , so many cars ,thirty or so, but a very pleasant walk.
Just eaten, a home made fish pie with grilled tomatoes and green beans ,there was parsley sauce in the pie .
One daffodil ready to open,in a pot of about seven,ready to place among the foliage of as yet not flowers ring shrubs.
Did a bit of that last week but gradually more coming along.
No birdies as yet at the window feeder but have ordered nets of peanuts ,so if hung near the windows maybe be the birds will come.
Noticed a new tree in my front garden, not planted by me!
It is the same as my Italian screening trees ,so obviously a cone that has self sown,I pull the cones off because they look like what dog owners ought to pick up!Horrible.
Need to sort out the hanging basket ,the Ivy has taken over so it can go elsewhere , as ground cover perhaps in the small shrubbery at the end of the garden.There are bluebells down there in profusion, but I think they will
cope .
Fish pond frozen ,but aerator still bubbling under the ice.
I don’t feed the fish in winter but they remember when I tap on the side and are waiting for me to feed them.
It is said goldfish have no memories but I don’t believe that.
Son at Specialist on Friday re his mystifying symptoms.
Not heart,not digestion, lots of tests and treatments but no solution.
It is spoiling his retirement ,and his temperament, the calmest most placid person is now tetchy and snappy .
He was taken off a plane pre Covid this time last year, because of chest pains etc.The plane had not set off you understand
Got some nice grapes, apples and celery, chutney and an unopened box of biscuits for cheese, so there is tea sorted.
Nice news of the new arrival.
Flash Harry’s books have arrived at his Nanny’s -she is quarantining them and will hand them over so his parents can also do that.
