*COMPLETED* Word on 1898 Marriage by Special Licence - Belfast
« on: Sunday 14 February 21 21:27 GMT (UK) »
Hi Folks,

Can anyone decipher the word with ? in this sentence please &/or anything else I may have wrong?

I've included what I've managed myself although I'm open to others' thoughts.
It's only this sentence I had a problem with & the word is nothing like any word I'd expect in the context...

"Marriage solemnized after the Subt_ty? of a Special Licence granted by The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Pres. Church in Ireland at Belfast in the Registered District of Belfast in the County of Antrim"

Image attached with enlargement of the word.

Missing word is "Authority" (easier to read in the actual record which you've linked).

Added- reason probably because it took place at Mount Charles (bride's home) rather than in church or registry office.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
